Hello, I'm Roger

I am passionate about new ways of seeing the world. I am a life-long learner who loves ideas and experiences that shake the intellectual and emotional ground on which I stand. By helping others see their circumstances in new ways, I help groups be more productive and individuals lead healthier lives.

I believe everything in my life, and the lives of those with whom I work can be improved. Nothing today is as good as it can and should be tomorrow. Most organizations and events with which I have been involved evolved dramatically during my tenure.

It is the diversity of my experiences that enables me to help groups and individuals alter their futures. I hold a Master of Science in Management from the Sloan School of Management at the Massachusetts Institute of Technology and a Master of Science in Mathematics from Northern Illinois University. I taught high school Math, was in sales and management for a Fortune 100 corporation, co-founded a management consulting firm, ran a Chamber of Commerce, organized hundreds of community events, and volunteered for many mission-driven organizations. I have spent thousands of hours on a suicide hotline helping people choose life by holding on to their deepest yearnings and desires.

I taught courses on Human Resources and Customer Service at The George Washington University in Washington, D.C., and train professionals to answer calls on a suicide hotline. I have given numerous guest lectures at local colleges and universities, and have published hundreds of articles on topics as diverse as value-added customer satisfaction and enhanced personal development. I have also published numerous interviews with some of the nation's thought leaders.

I am equally comfortable asking teens to re-envision their lives, challenging senior executives to re-envision their corporations and helping those on the fringes of life to re-envision their futures.

Finally, I value conversations that matter, having sponsored and facilitated an ongoing Fourth of July American dialogue and a Socratic conversation for more than two decades.

My wife and I have two children, who are now altering their worlds through their passion for creativity and innovation. Apples, as they say, do not fall far from the tree.
